DIGITAL CONTROLLER
This type of controllers uses the internal MCU for PID calculation and conducts control so that the process variable (measured value) matches the target value (set point value).
On the front panel, there are digital displays of the measured and the setpoint values.
Actual control requires a sensor for getting the process variable as input and an output device to control the load such as a heater.
Digital controllers may be called digital controllers/temperature controllers.

MODULE TYPE CONTROLLERS
This type of controllers is mounted on a DIN-rail inside the control cabinet and managed by PC, PLC or HMI.
Modules can be connected side by side, and a space and wire saving multi-loop control system can be realized.
Connecting a communication converter enables connection to various fieldbus network.
Maintenance by a module is available, and maintainability is good.

MULTILOOP CONTROLLERS
Temperature control of multiple channels is possible on a single controller.
This type of controller has a display and operation keys, and a multi-loop temperature control system can be easily made and maintainability is also good.
The controller requires less mounting space than installing multiple single loop controllers.

RAMP/SOAK CONTROLLERS
This type of controllers changes the setpoint according to the preset program pattern.
The program consists of raising/reducing the setpoint (ramp control) and keeping the setpoint at the preset level for a preset period (soak control).
Adding a time signal to the program pattern enables output to the external device as an event.

FM APPROVED LIMIT CONTROLLERS
The limit controller provides you the over/under-temperature protection for your equipment or products in process.
For safety reason, the output will be retained until reset operation is executed even when the measured value goes back to the normal range. Reset operation can be executed by front key operation, communication, or digital input.

INDICATORS
This type of products receives signals from a temperature sensor and other devices (DC voltage/current), and digitally displays temperature, pressure, flow, etc.
Adding an optional relay enables the indicator to be used as an alarm unit.
A high performance type is available with communication interface, analog retransmission output, digital input and others for establishing a more advanced data monitoring system.

HAND HELD TEMPERATURE INDICATORS
This is a battery-operated handheld thermometer.
A wide selection of sensors are offered depending on the measured object.
An easy-to-operate type thermometer.

RECORDERS
This is a device to record process variables such as temperature, humidity, pressure and flow rate. Inputs to the recorder can be from a thermocouple, an RTD, and other DC voltage and current signals.
There are two kinds of recording systems:
- Hybrid recorders
- Paperless recordes (data memorized in the memory)

POWER CONTROLLERS
This type of products receives an analog signal such as 4-20mA from an external controller and regulate power to the heater continuously and sensitively.
There are two types of power control methods
- Phase control method that controls the wave form of power
- Zero-cross method that controls the cycles of power supply with low noise.

COMMUNICATION CONVERTERS
This is a device to connect controllers to various fieldbus networks or serial communication device.
Via the converter, connection to the network of CC-Link, EtherCAT, DeviceNet, PROFINET, as well as connection to a PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) is available.

HEATER BREAK ALARMS
This type of products monitors current flowing to the heater using a CT (current transformer) and generates an alarm (contact output) when a heater breaks.
RKC has a wide selection of devices that can be used with temperature controllers with relay contact output, SSR drive output, phase control and zero-cross control.
The unit is available for panel mounting or DIN-rail mounting.

SOLID STATE RELAY
Generally solid state relays are abbreviated as SSR.and turn on and off the power to the heater using a semiconductor relay (triac element).
Since SSR is a zero-cross type which turns on and off when the wave form of the power is at zero. This causes less noise and prolongs the service life of the output device. SSR without a radiation fin is also available.
